Quote from ANALOG theater’s website: The facts are clear: the tipping point has been passed, climate change is evident, the earth is making humanity feel the exploitation it has carried out on it over thousands of years. The members of the Church of Self-Extinction are coming together in a final joint ritual to renounce humanity as the “crown of creation” and prepare for its end: Abolish humanity now!
The starting point is the philosophy of antinatalism, which postulates that humanity should no longer reproduce. ANALOG examines this radical approach for its suitability in terms of saving the world – as immersive music theater. Processions are held, rituals are established, the disappearance of humanity is celebrated in a big party. Anger, disbelief and desperation at the approaching, irrevocable end are welcomed and processed together. At the end, it is easy to say goodbye.
